Jenne Farm and Cloudland Road VT

Fall is here and the colors are breathtaking, almost at their peak. I spent this morning shooting some of my favorite spots, including The Jenne Farm in Reading, the most photographed barn in North America. I’ve shot there before, but I keep going back because it is and incredible place to take pictures and it changes constantly with the seasons, and the years. I also spent some time on Cloudland Road in Pomfert, another hot spot for artists like myself, a bit of a haul, but well worth the trip. The light was amazing this morning, something one is rarely witness to. On my adventure I met two very sweet ladies, Betty and Megg, who were also there to take photos. Thanks for the coffee!

Megan & Dan September 20th

Congrats Megan and Dan! What a wedding. Not only are these two clients, but very close friends. I am very honored to know them and honored to be such an important part of their special day. Thank you guys so much for being so awesome. Can't wait to hang out again really soon.

September Photo of the Mont

Just really liked this shoot. It was a moment captured during the portraits. Good light cool place to work. Just really like it.

Jenn & Shawn September 13th

Wow! What a awesome location that they had. The Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury. It is so nice there. Had awesome landscape with a cool post and beam barn. Jenn and Shawn where so easy to work with. We did a bunch of shoots and was a lot of fun. My favorite was a moment that happened when we where doing their portraits. It is the shoot of them looking at each other in the field. Just a moment that happened during the shoot. I was so excited to capture it.

Michelle & Jamie September 6th

Michelle and Jamie's wedding was a very special wedding to me. Not only are they friends of mine but was I was recommended by one of my best friends wife. I did not want to disappoint. I delivered. They where totally into the shoot and we had a blast doing shoots. We did most of the images at Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington Vermont. Got really lucky and avoided the rain that was passing through the area. Michelle and Jamie went with my 8hr package with album. This gave us plenty of time to do all the formals and then have lots of candid shoots. It really is the best package for full documentary coverage.

Martine & Chuck August 30th

What a fun wedding. Martine and Chuck got married at the Green Mountain Inn in Stowe. It is a really cool place to have wedding and one of my favorite spots to shoot at. They have a nice grass area that has stone wall and cool trees. Martine and Chuck where really cool to work with. We had a lot of fun doing shoots.

Karen & Walter August 24th 2008

Karen and Walter's wedding was my second of the weekend. It was on beautiful Sunday day. The ceremony was in Burlington and reception at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. We did shoots at both locations but I really liked the Trapp for the images. There is a awesome row of Birtch trees that we used. The light was right and Karen and Walter where really into it. I could have stayed there until the sun went down doing images. I will most defiantly us this spot again. It works really good in different light. I had a great time working with Karen and Walter. I can't wait to design their album.

Kara & Brad August 23rd

Kara and Brad's wedding was only a few miles away from Canada. They where a lot of fun and had a cool home town feel. The unique thing was we did some shoots with a bunch of Mustangs (the cars). It was some thing I have never done before. Had to set up the cars and all the people. It was some of my favorite shoots from the day.

Shannon & Mike

So I know it has been a while since my last blog and I apologize. I have been crazy busy and final have time to show some of my recent work. Wanted to share some images from August 16th wedding of some good friends of mine. Shannon and Mike got married in Waitsfield, VT at the Sugarbush Inn. All that I can is say wow. The wedding was awesome. Good people, good food, good drink, and lots of fun. What was amazing is that a week before the wedding they had to change locations due the unreal amount of rain we had in VT this summer. They pulled it off with out a problem and had a really good time.

July's Photo of the Month

It's back! After skipping the month of June I have started the "Photo of The Month" club again. This month's photo is very fitting for July. I call it Ahhhhhh. It was taken at the Burlington Water Front during the July 3rd firework show. One of my favorite things to photograph. I hope you all enjoy.

July 3rd Fire Works, Burlington Water Front

The forth of July, my favorite summer holiday. Parades, BBQ, Warm weather, and best of all Fireworks. I have always been memorized by fireworks since I was a little kid. The way they light up the sky and the feel of the boom.

Since I have been into photography I have always loved photographing fireworks. It is so much fun. Always a challenge of getting in the right spot, not putting tripod where some one else is, and many other things. All things that you must over come to get cool shoots.

This year I went to the Burlington Water Front with a group of friends. I wanted to get a spot that had a familiar foreground. What better spot then the Burlington Boat House. We got there about a half hour before the start. We where able to get a spot right on the board walk. The best part was we where really close to the fried dough so we where able to indulge before the show.

It was a lot of fun and I came away with some really cool shoots.
